Ibizan Hounds/Podencos for Re-Homing in the UK
Hazel
Hazel was found abandoned in quite a miserable state. She was nervous, anxious and very, very underweight. She has now gained weight wonderfully and has really come out of her shell.
She loves to play with other dogs and is a loving, gentle girl with humans. She is a little watchful of strangers but quickly makes friends when she realises there is no threat. Although now a very happy girl, Hazel always wears a frown which makes her most endearing. Hazel is currently in a shelter in Almeria, Spain.
Neutered, blood tested for Mediterranean diseases, vaccinated and microchipped.

Skye
Skye was found wandering in the Spanish countryside just as the hunting season came to an end. She is only a young dog and it would have been her first season "working". She most probably didn't make the grade and was, therefore, dumped.
She is a stunningly beautiful Ibizan Hound who will turn heads wherever she goes. Skye is a little nervous of strangers but is very loving once she has got to know you. Skye is currently being cared for and socialised in a foster home in Almeria, Spain.
She is neutered, blood tested for Mediterranean diseases, vaccinated and microchipped.

Amber
Amber is a beautiful girl with a lovely, gentle nature. She walks very well on the lead and really enjoys her daily walks with a PAWS volunteer. Amber is around 4 years old and arrived to us with an old break to one foreleg, just above the ankle. The bone is swollen where it did not heal very well but it does not appear to trouble Amber who is happy and active.
She is very sociable with both four legged and two legged friends alike, small dog friendly and shows little interest in the cats in the PAWS cattery.
This girl is a joy to be around and has that wonderful gentleness about her that is special about so many hounds.
Amber is blood tested for Mediterranean diseases, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is neutered.

Estrella
Estrella is one of a litter of 6 puppies who were dumped around Christmas time 2008. The puppies were in very poor condition and on New Year's Eve 08 it was really touch and go whether some of them would make it through to the next day. Make it they did!!
We then found foster homes for them where they received excellent care and went from strength to strength. All 6 have grown in to wonderful dogs but have spent far too much of their young lives living in a shelter.
Estrella is a very friendly girl, she loves her cuddles and she walks well on a lead. She gets on very well with other dogs but does tend to be something of a victim allowing herself to get pushed around far too much. She can be a little unsure (afraid) of meeting new dogs but very quickly overcomes this.

Purdy

She just loves to run and play and loves her toys too. She gets on very well with other dogs and loves to have fun with her two legged friends!

Vela

Katie
Katie is a Podenco cross and was born around June 08. She is a lively young dog and loves to play with other dogs. She loves to play with toys too. She is very confident and affectionate of humans that she knows but is watchful of strangers.
Katie and her brother Nero were picked up by a German lady who saw the car in front of her slow down and throw them out. Katie will be quite a large dog and will probably stand at around 65 cm when fully grown. Katie is very good with small dogs but has no cat experience.
She is blood tested for Mediterranean diseases, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Nero
Nero is a Podenco cross and was born around June 08.He is a lively young dog and loves to play with other dogs and with toys. He is a confident, affectionate young dog and walks well on the lead and understands some basic commands.

Leika
Leika and her four siblings were dumped in a sealed up vegetable crate outside a computer shop. Initially they were undernourished and weak but after much TLC from a wonderfully experienced foster mum they developed in to the stunning puppies that they are today.
Leika is a beautiful girl and has always been the biggest and most confident of the litter. She is a happy, healthy and inquisitive puppy who loves to play with toys and other dogs. She is currently being socialised around cats too.
Although a puppy now it is important to remember that by the time Leika can travel to the UK in the autumn she will be a young adult. Leika is a beautiful podenco and will undoubtedly mature in to a very pretty hound.
Leika is blood tested for Mediterranean diseases, microchipped, fully vaccinated and will be neutered before travelling to the UK.
